Dear Ingo. Very cool comment! I am using IOS 7 for the same time you did. But my conclusions are exactly the opposite of yours. It is different, neither better nor worse. The market demands for news. Apple gave them news. Sorry, but you are old-fashioned and want to stick with the known. Sorry, that a company is not in line with your taste. You do not need to use Apple devices. But now a serious question. I own a company as well. Did you really choose Apple for the designs of the IOS or the devices? I choose Apple for the stability of the system, the logic behind it, the smooth combination of hardware, IOS and software. It is just superior to other systems – within the smartphone world and definitely within the world of desktops/notebooks/tablets/smartphones. Sorry, but your comment and the mentioned reasons for your unhappiness are kind of silly.

It brings apple back into the MS league and would be a reason to NOT buy it.

I own a firm and we moved to mac and of course we all have iphone, ipads & Co. Until now, the products have been cool and stylish in design. The new IOS is miles behind the previous version:

# new starting screen (instead of pin code) .. WHAT FOR?
# new colours for email and phone: light grey and light blue on WHITE (??) … not cool and esp. difficult to use (in the office and esp. outdoor)!!
# icons: JESUS, my 8y old boy would bring up more stylish drawings .. 10 steps back (AND: does not harmonize with third party icons at all)

It is not to far to Christmas – so ONE WISH only: get back the old look!!

And in terms of product: simply boring the ‘new’ 5s – will certainly not ‘upgrade’.

Apple really needs to work harder to keep me as a customer. Bringing back the previous design would help at least to not make me actively switching my phone!

And again: my son (8y) finds the new IOS very uncool too! So at least here you should watch out!!

Das größte Problem ist m.M.n. aber zum einen das einfach schlechte Icondesign, sowie die fehlende Lonsistenz.
Und ja, so etwas lässt sich auch anhand von Screenshots erkennen.

Manche Teile finde ich jedcoh zu „flat“. Bei denen man oft gar nicht mehr erkennt wo man jetzt wirklich hintippen soll. Aber gut, da kann sich ja noch einiges tun, vorallem weil noch gar keine iPad Version vorhanden ist.

Nun es ist durchaus kein Problem iOS 7 schon jetzt zu installieren, auch ohne Entwickler-Account. Allerdings ist es eben noch sehr „beta“. Viele Apps funktionieren nicht korrekt oder teils gar nicht, weil das UI-Rendering irgendwas kaputt macht.
