Ich bin zwar kein Freund von „Pimp my homescreen“ und habe Jailbreakprogramme eigentlich nicht als notwendig gesehen. Wenn aber ein System Modifikationen wie das Austauschen der „hauseigenen“ Apps zulässt ohne dass großartig rumgefummelt wird, so finde ich dass nicht nur praktisch, sondern sogar essentiel.

Für MICH ist iPhone an folgenden Punkten gescheitert:
– Customisation Jailbreak ist auf Android gar nicht notwendig
– Hardware Issues: Antenna Gate, Roboter Stimme bei Anrufen*
– Multitasking Management: trotz strikter Auflagen sind Programme wie Metronome Pro auch bei Stillstand im Hintergrund weitergelaufen und haben den Akku lehrgesaugt. Keine Möglichkeit der Erörterung des Problems (Android hat da eine bessere Auflistung).

* bei mir definitiv bei iPhone 4 und iPhone 4s

Auch wenn ich eine gewisse Geschlossenheit bei iOS schätze, eine größere Vielfalt an Möglichkeiten würde iOS gut tun – es könnte sogar ein KO Kriterium am Smartphone Markt werden.
