I’ve worked out how to get around the registration problems.
Delete the version you downloaded using the link directly on mupromo.com
Instead, download from here (which is the link included in the registration e-mail):
http://www.macgamestore.com/detail.php?ProductID=1177
This will prompt you for a License Name and License Code, both of which are in your registration e-mail.

Soeben gekauft und installiert. Nun soll ich entweder den Registrierungsschlüssel oder die Bestellnummer angeben, habe jedoch von macupdate nur einen Lizenz Code bekommen, der NICHT mit dem heruntergeladenen Spiel funktioniert! Na super :( Weiss jemand rat? Oder darf ich mich mit dem Kndendienst auseinandersetzten?
